Art and Books with Kristen Thornton for Grades K-5, Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 P.M.
Kristen Thornton will conduct after school art programs which will feature a story, based on a recent or notable children’s book, and art activity.

Wednesday, May 10 – Pool by Jihyeon Lee/Underwater Self Portraits

Toy Around with Science with Kendall Perkins for Grades 3-5, Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 P.M.
Each session will explore a principle of physics or chemistry by making something fun that works, with everyday materials!
Wednesday, April 26 – Clown Around with Air/ Create a pinwheel powered trick clown figure
Wednesday, May 17 – May the Force be with You: Pendulums and Whirligigs! / explore, create, and take home gadgets that use shared energy

Open Studio – Still Life with Kristen Thornton (Grades 6-12) Tuesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Students will recreate Still Life exhibits from their choice of media and materials, i.e. painting (watercolors/oils) or drawing (charcoals/pastels.) Kristen Thornton will guide them through their projects as they work at their individual paces. Materials will be supplied for all programs, but students may bring their own supplies if they choose. Limited to 10 participants. Please call or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Please note: There will be no session on April 11 due to school vacation. It’s Thisbe: Queen of Adventure! And an Egg Hunt! Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 A.M.
Children are invited to come to the library for stories from Jen Petty Hilger followed by an egg hunt to celebrate spring. Jen will read her new story Thisbe: Queen of Adventure and other stories, and she will sell and sign copies of her book after the egg hunt. Children should bring their own baskets.
