PRESCHOOL  PROGRAMS

Drop-in Preschool Story Hour – Ages 2-5 - Wednesday, February 7 from 10:30 – 11:15

Drop-in story hour for children ages 2-5 will begin on Wednesday, February 7 at 10:30 A.M. and will run through April 11. In addition to being fun, story hour helps develop language and social skills that children need to succeed and foster intellectual curiosity. Each session will feature stories on a particular theme followed by a related activity or craft. 

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Art and Books with Kristen Thornton for Grades K-5, Wednesdays, January 10th, February 14th, and March 14th from 3:15-4:30 P.M.

Kristen Thornton will conduct after school art programs which will feature a story, based on a recent or notable children’s book, and art activity.

Toying with Science for Grades 3-5, Wednesdays, January 17th, February 21st, and March 7th from 3:15 – 4:30 P.M.

Each session will explore a principle of physics or chemistry by making something fun that works, with everyday materials!

 

Projects to be announced. Watch our online calendar and notices sent home with Lyme School Students.

 Open Studio – Still Life with Kristen Thornton (Grades 6-12) Tuesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.  – Resumes January 2, 2018

Students will recreate Still Life exhibits from their choice of media and materials, i.e. painting (watercolors/oils) or drawing (charcoals/pastels.) Kristen Thornton will guide them through their projects as they work at their individual paces. Materials will be supplied for all programs, but students may bring their own supplies if they choose.  Limited to 10 participants.  Please call or email programreg@lymepl.org to register.  Please note: There will be no class on February 20 due to school winter break.

 

It’s Spring and an Egg Hunt! Saturday, March 31 at 10:30 A.M.

Kristen Thornton will read the story Pete the Cat: Big Easter Adventure by James Dean. Children will enjoy a craft activity and an egg hunt.  Please call or email programreg@lymepl.org to register.
